The partnership of Nathan Cano (Cano Real Estate) and Niall Glavin ( Glavin Homes) is looking to create a commercial dirt dump site by allowing 533,000 cubic yards of fill from other local developments on farmland located on NW 179th st., west of 41st. This is more dirt than was moved for the Clark County Amphitheater or Ilani Casino. It will equate to over 76,000 trucks traveling on NW 179th street over the course of the next year. That is equivalent to a dump truck driving down NW 179th St. every 90 seconds 10 hours a day, 6 days a week for a year! The potential impact of this project are vast: Traffic and roadway impacts; fish, habitat, and wildlife impacts; water quality; noise and air quality impacts.

What can you do to help?

The time to appeal the County's SEPA determination has passed.  Sixteen neighbors have timely appealed and plan to continue to appeal to Superior Court.  The costs and attorneys fees for such a fight is expensive.  Please consider donating, we are needing to raise $40,000 for a Land Use Attorney.
